The word on the street is that Geological surveys are coming from CNEX reguarding their mining properties. We all know in the penny stock world this momentum alone could send the stock soaring alone!  But we are looking at the bigger picture here for CNEX. Their last PR stated an exploration program to start late May. Well guess what May is ending and we are expecting some major events to be announced to the public on their mining properties.  We feel with all this and the major momentum that CNEX already has will send this stock skyrocketing!  Now if those GEO surveys have some real juicy details this thing can become a monster!  As of May 24, 2010 we are watching for a Golden Cross on the Chart when the 200DMA crosses the 50DMA. If and when that happens this stock will not be anywhere near a penny.

PHOENIX, AZ–(Marketwire – 05/10/10) – Cannon Exploration (Pinksheets:CNEX – News) is pleased to announce that the company will be returning to the Queen Alexandra property sometime in late May to continue with the next stage of exploration.

The company has also engaged a new geophysics company to contract for the management of the next phase of exploration on the property. Currently the companies are in the process of reviewing data from the previous exploration programs, and will draw from the information to complete the plan for the spring/summer program. The move to a new partner for the exploration of the Queen Alexandra is based on the company’s desire to become compliant with the NI 43 101 standards on a going forward basis.

The Ontario Geological Survey lists 55 companies that have active programs or properties staked for base metals, gold, uranium, molybdenum, and diamonds, in the Kenora District, which includes Dryden.

Many of the properties have had previous exploration and some extraction over the years, but the many juniors are back in there as mineral prices remain high.

The area’s geology is structurally complex and much of what lies deep down is relatively untouched. In the Kenora area, compared to more established camps like Red Lake, there’s only a few diamond drill holes that have penetrated down 1,000 feet. Many companies are referring to historical information (drill logs, prospecting/assessment reports, government surveys and records, production logs) in an effort to take some of the guesswork out of the search for metals in the area.

Champion Bear, Treasury Metals, Manitou Gold, MPH, Canadian Arrow, Tamaka Gold, to name a few, are some of the companies currently exploring for various mineral deposits in the Kenora and Dryden regions.

Queen Alexandra Property
Map Reference N.T.S. G- August 30, 2008

The Queen Alexandra mine was sunk in the early 1900’s — between 1904 to 1920’s. There is very little information available on this property, This property was brought to my attention by a retired geologist that was employed for many years for the Ontario Department of Mines. From the information that I received, a small bulk sample mined in that era produced a large amount of high grade gold. He picked up grab samples from the small ore dump that assayed in the 2 oz. per ton range,
A reconnaissance ground geophysical survey that R.J. Major carried out in January 2008 indicated a conductive zone in the immediate
shaft area. Four (4) new claims were staked for Cannon Exploration Inc. At the time that this reconnaissance was carried out, the weather was quite severe – -40 plus deep snow.
Information from the ground geophysical survey warranted that this property be staked.
